which misses the whole point…because the problem is precisely that he has no idea–and more importantly, does not care–about the origins or convergence of his views.

one would never know, from what he says, that in the immediate post-Ceausescu period Teodor Brates was a focal point of the wrath of the former Securitate…

and he certainly, although he is hardly alone, lacks any skepticism about the current charges being launched against Brates…he simply takes everything at face value.

At the very least, what follows should give the observer of what is being said about December 1989…PAUSE…and induce some natural questions…

for example, Filip Teodorescu, who was involved in the repression of anti-regime demonstrators in Timisoara (his memoir from 1992 below)

or the mouthpiece of the former Securitate during the early 1990s, Angela Bacescu of Zig-Zag, Romania Mare, and Europa (this 1994 volume includes a number of texts from Europa)
